Arts, Music, and Performance
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s arts community is one of the most vibrant parts of campus life, and many performances are open to the public.
Community members are invited to attend student recitals, Conservatory concerts, jazz performances, opera productions, theater, dance showcases, film screenings, and events at venues across campus.

Visit the Allen Memorial Art Museum
The Allen Memorial Art Museum has been free and open to the public since 1917 and remains so today. Its collections, exhibitions, and public programs welcome visitors of all ages.
Whether you are stopping in for a quiet afternoon, bringing family or friends, or attending a public program, the Allen is one of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s most treasured shared spaces.
Libraries and Resources
Community members are welcome in several ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï library spaces during public access hours. The Mary Church Terrell Main Library, Conservatory Library, Science Library, Clarence Ward Art Library, and other specialized spaces offer opportunities to read, study, explore collections, and attend library events. Some community members may also be eligible to borrow materials, including adults who live or work in Lorain County and members of the Friends of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï College Libraries.
While visiting The Mary Church Terrell Main Library, community members can purchase food and beverages from Azariah’s Café, which is located on the first floor of the building. Also located on the first floor of the main library is the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Campus Store which features exclusive ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï merchandise.
Take Part in Lifelong Learning
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s intellectual life extends beyond enrolled students. Community members may be able to unofficially audit College courses with instructor permission, depending on the course, space, and format. Please contact registrar@oberlin.edu for more information.
The Experimental College, known as ExCo, also offers opportunities for members of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï community to teach or take courses on a wide range of topics.
Fitness, Wellness, and Athletics
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is home to varsity athletics, club sports, and recreational opportunities throughout the year. With 21 varsity teams, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï hosts more than 100 home games a year, and all are free and open to the public.
Community members can purchase memberships to Philips Gym and the Shanks Health and Wellness Center, which include access to fitness facilities, equipment rentals, and YeoFit classes.
