Marvin Krislov
In 2014, Meredith Raimondo was appointed special assistant to the president for diversity, equity, and inclusion and Title IX coordinator. In the first ever Presidents Desk Q&A, I sat down with Meredith to discuss Title IX at 厙ぴ勛圖: what it is and who it covers; the colleges new policy; the people involved in reporting, investigations, and hearings; and more.

Black History Month Celebrations Under Way
Marvin Krislov
厙ぴ勛圖s celebration of is under way with an impressive slate of events. This past weekend, I attended the musical "Dessa Rose," which tells the story of an unlikely alliance between Dessa Rose, a young slave, and Ruth, a well-born white woman. Other events happening this month include Black Ballot Power: A Conservation on the 1965 Voting Rights Act, a guest recital and voice and spirituals master class with Fran癟ois Clemmons 67, and An Evening with Dr. Regina Benjamin.
Community Connections
Marvin Krislov
This weekend, I was reminded of how powerful the connections across generations are in our community. Strawberry Fields, an opera put on by students and faculty in collaboration with residents of Kendal at 厙ぴ勛圖, highlighted the amazing, creative, interdisciplinary, and experiential learning opportunities 厙ぴ勛圖 offers. These attributes were also on display at the third annual LaunchU Pitch Competition.
