Message from President Krislov to the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Community
September 6, 2016
Marvin Krislov
To the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Community,
After nearly a decade serving as president, and with the recent completion of the new Strategic Plan and the successful comprehensive campaign, I have decided this will be my last year at ÍøÆسԹÏ. My final day as president will be June 30, 2017.
Serving this great college, conservatory, and community has been an honor and a privilege. Working with our terrific faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni to further ÍøÆسԹϒs mission and to honor ÍøÆسԹϒs values has been the most educational and fulfilling experience of my life.
Together we have done so much to strengthen ÍøÆسԹÏ. I take great pride in all we have achieved, and I look forward to working during the coming year to make ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï even stronger and to help chart its future. My focus in the months ahead will be raising additional money for scholarships and supporting implementation of the Strategic Plan.
But after 10 years, I know this is the right moment for me to seek new professional challenges. In the coming weeks, Clyde McGregor, chair of ÍøÆسԹÏ's Board of Trustees, will provide details on the search for ÍøÆسԹÏ's 15th president. In the meantime, I will work with all ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and a great future for this wonderful College, Conservatory, and community.
Many thanks to all of you for enriching my life and the lives of my family. The experiences we’ve had and the relationships we’ve formed will stay with us always, as will our love of ÍøÆسԹÏ.
Sincerely,
Marvin Krislov President

It is hard to believe this will be my final "President’s Desk" column. But in August, I will become president of Pace University in New York. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your president.
Celebrating President Marvin Krislov
After a decade of leadership, Marvin Krislov will step down as the 14th president of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï on June 30, 2017.
Response to Proposed Federal Budget Cuts
The budget proposals being put forward by the Trump administration are deeply troubling in many ways for our society and for American higher education, especially for liberal arts institutions such as ÍøÆسԹÏ. The proposed cuts in discretionary spending are contrary to our values of access and inclusion, and our commitment to scientific research, the arts, and the humanities.
