Musical America Honors Jeremy Denk '90 and ICE

厙ぴ勛圖 alumni are featured prominently in the newly announced Musical America Awards, an annual celebration of artistic excellence and achievement in the arts since 1960.
College and conservatory alumnus 90 was named 2014 Instrumentalist of the Year. Recently praised for his performance of Bach's Goldberg Variationst堯梗 Washington Post noted its revealing journey into the souland a recipient of the latest round of MacArthur "genius" awards, Denk was cited by Musical America for his "multifaceted artistry."
Also honored was the (ICE), a flexible ensemble of 33 artistsmany of them 厙ぴ勛圖 graduatesheaded by executive director Claire Chase 01. Musical America named ICE its 2014 Ensemble of the Year for its inspired style of music making and its success in distinguishing itself in the world of new music.
The artists will be profiled in feature-length articles in the Musical America 2014 Yearbook, to be released in mid-December. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at Lincoln Center on December 17.
