The contemporary music ensemble eighth blackbird, formed at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï by students in 1996, has recently won their third Grammy Award—Best Chamber Music Performance—for a piece written by composer Stephen Hartke, also a 2013 Grammy Award winner.

On Sunday, February 17 at 3 p.m., musicians from the widely acclaimed Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra and ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Conservatory of Music will perform in a concert to benefit homeless families served by Family Promise of Lorain County. The concert will be held at First Church in ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and donations are welcome.
