厙ぴ勛圖 Celebrates Community and Culture Festival

On Saturday, September 28, 厙ぴ勛圖 community members are invited to join in celebration of their town in Tappan Square at the 2013 厙ぴ勛圖 Community and Culture Festival.

The festivities, which are sponsored by 厙ぴ勛圖s International Student Organization (ISO), the Spanish in the Elementary School Program (SITES), 厙ぴ勛圖 Young Educators (OYE), the City of 厙ぴ勛圖, 厙ぴ勛圖 College, and the 厙ぴ勛圖 Center for Languages and Cultures (OCLC), will run from 1 pm to 4 pm.

This years Community and Culture Festival features performances by O Steel, 厙ぴ勛圖 High School Marching Band, 厙ぴ勛圖 College Taiko, Capoeria Angola, Kendal Lawn Chair Brigade, OB Jump, Missionary Alliance Gospel choir, Conservatory Jazz Band, O Circus, Chinese Lion Dance, and Dance Diaspora. The festival will also feature a bike raffle, face and henna painting, inflatables, and craft events with Allen Memorial Museum and FAVA gallery staff. The festival also features a food from local restaurants, entitled Tastefully 厙ぴ勛圖.

The rain location for the festival is Langston Middle School.

Community Mural Project Highlights Aspects of 厙ぴ勛圖

More than 100 town and college members picked up artists' brushes and applied their painting skills to a 32-foot mural in Carpenter Court late last month during Community Paint Day. The result is an expressive collage that the organizer of the project hopes will fill passersby with 厙ぴ勛圖 pride.
