ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Celebrates Community and Culture Festival 2015

All are invited to celebrate ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï on Saturday, September 26 in Tappan Square for ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s annual .
The event, which takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., celebrates ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï's diversity and creativity, featuring food and activities from around the world as well as live performances. The festival will feature a Chinese lion dance, tango dancing, acrobatics by OCircus, and musical performances by OSteel, the Conservatory Jazz Band, OC Taiko, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï High School's Marching Band, Voices for Christ, and the Obertones. Local community and non-profit organizations such as the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Heritage Center, The Bridge, and the Firelands Association for the Visual Arts will have activities and materials available. Other family friendly activities include craft making, face painting, inflatable bounce houses, and voter registration. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s local restaurants will be represented at the festival's "Tastefully ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï," where they will provide options to sample and purchase some of their popular dishes.
The festivities are sponsored by ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï's International Student Organization (ISO), the city of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï, the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï College Office of Community and Government Relations, and the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Center for Languages and Cultures (OCLC).
They are looking for volunteers to sign up for 1-2 hour shifts to help with setup, cleanup, water stations, monitoring inflatable attractions to ensure children are safe, and other needs as they arise. To sign up for a shift (or as many as you would like!) please click to sign up on this .
