Pixar Talks at the Apollo

Pixar is taking over the Apollo Theatre Friday, March 6, but it wont be the studios latest film crowds will be clamoring to see. Instead, they will hear Pixar employees Nicole Grindle and Jamie Woolf discuss what its like to work for one of the worlds most well-known animation studios.
Grindle, a Pixar producer, and Woolf, staff development manager, will lead two talks: from 10 to 11 a.m. and from noon to 1 p.m.
In Making a Film at Pixar, Grindle will explore the process of crafting a Pixar film. Its a topic she knows well, having served as the production manager of A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and Ratatouille, and as an associate producer on Toy Story 3 and Monsters University.
The Culture of Creativity: Pixar will focus on the environment Pixar creates for its employees to spur collective creativity. Woolf, who launched a groundbreaking in-house mentoring program at Pixar, will share how the studio educates, trains, and inspires staff to create a desirable workplace for creative visionaries.
Both talks are a part of the 2014-2015 Creativity & Leadership Speaker Series. They are free and open to the public.
