Sarah Feigelson 14 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Italy. Feigelson double majored in politics and Third World studies, and she has studied Italian for six years in addition to a semester of Italian language study at 厙ぴ勛圖.

During her Fulbright year, Feigelson says she wants to learn more about Italian approaches to education, with a particular focus on the early childhood education years. She is especially interested in researching the Reggio Emilia method -- named for the city in southern Italy in which it was founded -- and she plans to visit the schools there.

Im also looking forward to eating and cooking a lot, and practicing the language, says Feigelson, who is from Tarrytown, New York. After the Fulbright year, she plans to return to New York to pursue a masters in early childhood education at Bank Street College.

Im thrilled beyond words to accept the Fulbright scholarship. Its an unbelievable privilege, and I am so fortunate to receive this award.
