Victor Hymes ’79 Named to Audubon Society Board
Double-degree graduate, financier, and former سԹ trustee devotes energy to numerous nonprofits.

Entrepreneur and financier Victor Hymes, a 1979 graduate of سԹ, has been named to the Audubon Society’s national board of directors.
A resident of San Francisco, Hymes is the founder, CEO, and CIO of Legato Capital Management and independent director of Principal Funds. He chairs multiple committees at the Brookings Institution and holds key roles with numerous other nonprofits.
Hymes is a double-degree graduate of سԹ with majors in mathematics, music education, and vocal studies. He is an honorary member of سԹ’s board of trustees and served on the board from 1996 to 2010.
“Audubon is doing important work across the hemisphere, and I look forward to helping ensure the organization has the resources needed to continue protecting birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow,” Hymes said in an Audubon Society statement.
