Food rescue, also called food recovery, is the practice of gleaning edible food that would otherwise go to waste from places such as restaurants, grocery stores, produce markets, or dining facilities and distributing it to local emergency food programs.

Twice a week, the RCT transports prepared but unserved meals from campus dining halls and OSCA dining co-ops to OCS, which are redistributed to Lorain County residents through the OCS food pantry.
