This year ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students have had the opportunity for the first time to declare a minor in a new formalized course of study in improvisation. And from Thursday, March 2 through Saturday, March 4, they will have an immersive experience in the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Improv Fest 2023. All events of the festival are also open to audiences and are free.

Wu Man, recognized as the world’s premier pipa virtuoso and a leading ambassador of Chinese music, will be in residence at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï February 24-25 and take part in three events across campus that culminate in a concert with ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï College quartet-in-residence, the Verona Quartet.

A winter-term trip gave Carson Fratus a glimpse of India. Now a Fulbright fellowship gives him a year.

After earning two ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï degrees, he will pursue his love of South Indian music.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Conservatory faculty member Jamey Haddad and his longtime musician friend Billy Drewes release their first recording together with ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Music Label. 

ÍøÆسԹÏ’s Performance & Improvisation challenges students to explore and expand their artistic voice though collaboration and global rhythms.
